I began my exciting new career as a dentist after graduating from The University of Medicine and Dentistry of NJ, now Rutgers School of Dentistry. After completing my dental residency program from Overlook Hospital in Summit, NJ, I had the privilege of starting my own practice. When I opened GPC Dental, I was thrilled and proud to enter this stage of my career—one where I felt I could truly make a difference in the daily lives of my patients.
Because oral care is so important to our overall well-being, I’ve made it my goal to enhance my patients’ dental health by providing the best possible care, emphasizing the importance of good dental habits and hygiene, and reinforcing the benefits of regular checkups. Since opening my practice, I’ve earned trust of my peers and my patients.
Dentistry may be my passion, but it’s not my first career. In fact, I started out in finance and business consulting. However, I learned quickly that it was not a career path that would ultimately lead to personal and professional fulfillment. So I searched for a change—one that would align with my aspirations and desire to impact peoples’ lives. From that perspective, dentistry felt like a natural shift.Graduating from dental school at UMDNJ and opening up a practice was just the beginning. In the ensuing years, I worked to expand my skills and knowledge and I:
- Completed a 2-‐year Implantology course at New York University
- Received certification in Invisalign
- Received certification in Laser Dentistry
In addition, I’ve been invited to lecture about practice ownership at the Dental Society in Brooklyn, and set up school presentations to teach young people about the importance of oral healthcare.
Recently, I started #BrushAmerica, which provides the most basic oral healthcare tools to help brighten more smiles. For every patient visit that GPC Dental receives, we donate a toothbrush and toothpaste to someone in need. To date, GPC Dental has donated over 2,200 toothbrushes to various organizations such as Eva’s Village in Paterson, Goodwill Rescue Mission in Newark, and most recently to the hurricane victims nationwide.
